My mother shared with me that the Big Brothers/ Sisters organization used to effectively be a safe haven for pedophiles without a criminal record actively seeking to meet and exploit children. A quick google search reveals numerous cases of sexual abuse by mentors in the program, so I don't think much has changed about that. Perhaps some more intense digging can reveal common threads in the program like the suspect people found working for NMEC?

Perhaps Alefantis is some kind of cover pseudonym to keep these people's real identities a secret? It does kind of sound like saying "with the children" in Spanish which would be "a las infantes".

Will do! This is huge. There's no way James Alefantis and Sean Alefantis are not related. She worked in a record shop during the 70s/80s and some pedos set up a comic book store next door and other pedos would congregate there (sound familiar to a pizza place maybe?). ALL of them were part of Big Brothers/Big Sisters and openly talked about meeting children that way.
