Rename list_subid_ranges to getsubids to provide a system binary to check the sub*ids of a user. The intention is to provide this binary with any distribution that includes the subid feature, so that system administrators can check the subid ranges of a given user. The official releases ship with pre-built manpages.
The content of the man pages however is dependent on compile flags. So the
pre-built ones might not fit your version of shadow. To build them yourself use
--enable-man. Furthermore the following build requirements will be needed:
- xsltproc
- docbook 4
- docbook stylesheets
- itstool
