Fix #120 by stripping comments from the end of lines.

The debug printing is also moved after variable substitution.
Now it prints:
  foo/template: _var foo
  foo/template: pkgname foo

It used to print:
  foo/template: _var foo
  foo/template: pkgname ${_var}
